Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and IELTS Assistant (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the IELTS Assistant mobile app (Android and iOS) and the website at ieltsexamassistant.com (the “Service”). By downloading, accessing or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own IELTS preparation, subject to these Terms and the app store terms that apply to your download.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service or its content;
• reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, except where the law permits;
• upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content, or another person’s personal data without permission;
• disrupt or probe the Service, circumvent usage limits, or use automated means to access it;
• misrepresent feedback generated by the Service as an official IELTS result.

5. Purchases, subscriptions and renewals

The Service is free to download. Premium plans and feedback credits are optional in-app purchases sold and processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and your store account is charged at the start of each period. You manage or cancel a subscription in your device’s store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Refunds are handled under the Refund Policy and the applicable store rules.

6. Feedback and band estimates

Band scores, corrections and comments produced by the Service — including AI-generated feedback — are practice estimates to guide your study. They are not official IELTS scores, are not issued by the IELTS partners, and do not predict or guarantee your result in a real test. Study material is provided for practice and may contain errors.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its content, and its branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the practice content you create; you grant us a limited licence to process and store it to operate the Service and provide your feedback and analytics.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (app stores, hosting, analytics, and an AI feedback provider). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their part of the Service, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that feedback will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for exam outcomes. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
